Heliumcowboy artspace presents “Mountain to Surf”, the 2010 Season Opening Exhibition showcasing 7 artists from their gallery: Nina Braun, Jon Burgerman, Victor Castillo, Alex Diamond, Boris Hoppek, Jeremy Fish & Casey McKee.

Most of the works shown at “Mountain To Surf” have never been exhibited in Hamburg before. These works have been presented at fairs and exhibitions in Basel (Mountains), New York (somewhere in between = To), Barcelona/Miami (Surf).

Chinatown Boardroom presents Heather Brown’s 3^rd solo art show titled “High Tide”. Brown is an artist, surfer and painter from the North Shore of Oahu and will be debuting her first solo exhibition. Brown received her Bachelors in Fine Arts from the University of Hawaii at Manoa with an emphasis in printmaking. She likes to work in various mediums including acrylics, photography, woodcuts, screen prints, intaglio prints, and linocuts. Her inspiration comes from her love for the sea, popular surf breaks, and the beauty of the islands.

Yesterday Jon Burgerman and Jim Avignon aka Anxieteam ´ve been on stage at the Golden Pudel Club in Hamburg.

The fact that it was all about fun and expression and not really ´bout serious music was very refreshing.

They paid homage to hundreds of graffiti writers of the american east – and west coast by bombing the storied wall at Bowery and Houston.

The Nuart Festival 2010 is happening in Stavanger, Norway and the two very well-known artists Blu and Erica il Cane teamed up for a new, massive mural. When both of them framed the piece they´ve probably thought about the recent oil desaster in the Gulf of Mexico as the piece indicts for the world´s oil consumption and its impact on the environment.
